Digital Transformation Promotes the High-quality Development of Rural Education: Value, Dilemma and Strategy

The rapid development of digital technology has brought great opportunities for rural education. Systematically promoting the digital transformation of rural education is not only the inherent requirement of the national education digital strategic action, but also the inevitable choice to realize the education power, promote the integrated development of urban and rural compulsory education, and realize the comprehensive revitalization of rural education. Through field investigation, this paper deeply understands the value connotation of digital transformation of rural education, analyzes potential opportunities and challenges, and finally explores a feasible path of digital transformation of rural education. The study found that the introduction of digital technology will greatly enrich rural education resources, promote education equity, and cultivate students' innovative ability. However, in the process of digital transformation of rural education, there are still problems such as lack of digital education resources, cognitive impairment of digital education, homogenization of digital education programs, and insufficient digital literacy of teachers. In order to give full play to the advantages of digital technology in rural education, it is suggested to formulate comprehensive policy support, improve infrastructure construction, strengthen teacher training, and promote the popularization of digital literacy, so as to realize the sustainable development of digital transformation of rural education.

Comparative Evaluation of Colour Difference using Different Digital Photography Equipment to Standardise Colour Assessment in Dental Photography

Introduction: Photography has always been thought to be an important part of dentistry. Since the introduction of digital technology; imaging has become simpler and more accessible. Colour matching is critical for the success of restorative and prosthetic dental treatments, also communication with the dental laboratory is still subjective, and further research is needed on this aspect. Aim: To compare the colour difference of digital photography equipment to standardise colour assessment in dental photography. Materials and Methods: A single blind clinical study was conducted after Clinical Trial Registry of India (CTRI) registration and informed consent, and a total of 22 participants were enrolled in accordance with the selection criteria. A spectrophotometer was used to determine the CIELAB ( Colour space defined by International Commission on Illumination) values of the right central incisor for each participant. They were then photographed with five different photography equipment along with a grey reference card. Group A: Canon 1300D Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) with 100 mm lens and pop-up flash (N=22). Group B: Canon 1300D DSLR+100 mm lens+70 GSM white tissue paper (N=22). Group C: Canon 1300D DSLR+ 100 mm lens with ring flash (N=22). Group D: Canon 1300D DSLR+100 mm lens+ring flash+diffuser (N=22). Group E: Iphone 11 (N=22). CIELAB values were obtained for all the groups using adobe Photoshop software after white balancing. Delta E was calculated by comparing CIELAB values of each group with the spectrophotometer values. The data was tabulated and analysed with one way ANOVA and Post-hoc test using IBM SPSS 20 software with p<0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: Mean value of Delta E was least in group D (DSLR+ ring flash with diffuser) (5.033) followed by group B (DSLR+ pop up flash with white tissue paper) (6.57), group A (DSLR+pop-up flash) (10.70), group E (Iphone11) (10.74) and highest in group C (DSLR+ ring flash) (11.32). Conclusion: Group D (DSLR+ ring flash with diffuser) was determined to be closest to the standard spectrophotometric values for colour assessment in dental photography

The introduction of digital technology in the healthcare industry is marked by ongoing difficulties with implementation and use. Slow progress has been made in unifying different healthcare systems, and much of the globe still lacks a fully integrated healthcare system. As a result, it is critical and advantageous for healthcare providers to comprehend the fundamental ideas of AI in order to design and deliver their own AI-powered technology. AI is commonly defined as the capacity of machines to mimic human cognitive functions. It can tackle jobs with equivalent or superior performance to humans by combining computer science, algorithms, machine learning, and data science. The healthcare system is a dynamic and evolving environment, and medical experts are constantly confronted with new issues, shifting duties, and frequent interruptions. Because of this variation, illness diagnosis frequently becomes a secondary concern for healthcare professionals. Furthermore, clinical interpretation of medical information is a cognitively demanding endeavor. This applies not just to seasoned experts, but also to individuals with varying or limited skills, such as young assistant doctors. In this paper, we proposed the comparative analysis of various state-of-the-art methods of deep learning for medical imaging diagnosis and evaluated various important characteristics. The methodology is to evaluate various important factors such as interpretability, visualization, semantic data, and quantification of logical relationships in medical data. Furthermore, the glaucoma diagnosis system is discussed in detail via qualitative and quantitative approaches. Finally, the applications and future prospects were also discussed.

The publication discusses China’s experience in modernizing higher education through the introduction of digital technology. It is argued that the National Mid-Term and Long-Term Education Reform and Development Plan (2010–2020) has passed the test of pandemic 2020 and enabled a technological revolution in higher education. Examples of the introduction of cloud computing and big data into the educational process of the Changzhou Engineering Vocational College, Heilongjiang Vocational and Technical College, Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College, Hunan Vocational and Technical College of Automotive Industry are given. It is noted that an important aspect of the technological revolution in education is the improvement of pedagogical design of digital educational resources. The modern model of university e‑campus, which includes technical-technological and information-analytical infrastructures, is characterized. The reasons for the success of digitalization of universities in China are defined: the profound socio-economic transformation in the country, ideological and economic methods of stimulating innovation in education, pandemic 2020, the use of digital analytical technologies. It is argued that the digitalization of the educational and administrative process cannot be complete without improving the pedagogical design of digital educational resources.

Digitization in Everyday Nursing Care: A Vignette Study in German Hospitals.

(1) Background: Digitization in hospital nursing promises to transform the organization of care processes and, therefore, provide relief to nurse staffing shortages. While technological solutions are advanced and application fields numerous, comprehensive implementation remains challenging. Nursing leadership is crucial to digital change processes. This vignette study examined the effects of the motives and values on nurses’ motivation to use innovative technologies. (2) Methods: We asked hospital nurses in an online vignette study to assess a fictitious situation about the introduction of digital technology. We varied the devices on the degree of novelty (tablet/smart glasses), addressed motives (intrinsic/extrinsic), and values (efficiency/patient orientation). (3) Results: The analysis included 299 responses. The tablet vignettes caused more motivation than those of the smart glasses (Z = −6.653, p < 0.001). The dataset did not show significant differences between intrinsic and extrinsic motives. The nursing leader was more motivating when emphasizing efficiency rather than patient orientation (Z = −2.995, p = 0.003). (4) Conclusions: The results suggest efficiency as a motive for using known digital technologies. The nursing staff’s willingness to use digital technology is generally high. Management actions can provide a structural framework and training so that nursing leaders can ensure their staff’s engagement in using also unknown devices.

Assessment of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice of Digital Orthodontics Among Orthodontists and Orthodontic Residents in Gujarat: A Questionnaire Study

Introduction: Introduction of digital technology in orthodontics has improved the overall experience for the patient as well as the clinician. This study aimed to assess knowledge, attitude and practice of digital orthodontics among orthodontists and orthodontic residents in Gujarat through a questionnaire. Materials and Methods: The questionnaire comprised of two parts, the first part which consisted of sociodemographic details (5 questions) and the second part consisted of questions to assess the knowledge (2 questions), attitude (9 questions) and practice (3 questions) of digital orthodontics. The final developed questionnaire after content validity was sent to Orthodontists and Orthodontic residents as Google Form link to Gujrat Orthodontic Study Group over WhatsApp and the received responses were recorded. Results: Kolmogorov- Smirnov test was employed to test the normality of data. Chi Square test was performed for the quantitative variables. Results showed that majority of the participants knew about availability of digital orthodontics. Revealed a positive incline in incorporating digital orthodontics in their routine practice. However, a lack was observed in practicing digital orthodontics among Orthodontists and Orthodontic Residents of Gujarat Statistically significant difference was present regarding the awareness about digital orthodontics between males and females (p value = 0.042). Conclusion: Orthodontists and orthodontic residents of Gujarat displayed adequate knowledge, positive attitude and lack of practice about digital orthodontics. Male population is more aware about digital technologies as compared to female population.

The use of fintech in microfinance: the fight against poverty globally and in Egypt

Microfinance has long been seen as a remedy for global poverty, although it has had mixed success, as the literature demonstrates. While poverty remains, with the introduction of digital technology and the relaxation, in many areas, of the regulations controlling banking following the financial crisis of 2008, innovations in the financial services sector, known as fintech, could have a significant impact. This article examines the research literature on the topic and provides a case study from Egypt before making recommendations on policy change, and how fintech and microfinance might develop if they are to have an impact on poverty both globally and within Egypt.

ISSUES OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF BUSINESS MODELS IN THE SERVICE SECTOR

The purpose of this article is to summarize and present the main features of the digital transformation of service business models. Methodology. The authors propose to consider the strategic vector of digital transformation of business models in the context of the formation of the digital economy as a new way of transforming business models and processes of all types of activities. The study based on the analysis of successful foreign and domestic experience allowed to summarize the key provisions of the digital transformation of business models in the service sector. The authors determine that the goal of digital transformation of the business model is to increase its economic efficiency through the introduction of digital technology in all areas of activity, in developing a strategy it is important to consider the directions of digital transformation. The authors present scientific and methodological approaches of leading international organizations to the interpretation of the term "digital economy" and give their own definition, taking into account the context of business models. Practical implications. Digital transformation (digitalization) is seen not just as support through IT components of existing business models, but the transformation of the entire business model, whose main objective is to ensure flexible and rapid change. functioning of the business based on the use of the latest advances in ICT, taking into account the specifics of the business (product, service, product portfolio, services). Based on this definition, the authors consider the main components of a digital business model transformation strategy. Value/originality. It is justified that the digitalization of the business model does not involve a simple transformation of technology, but a change in the business model and business processes. In these circumstances, it is reasonable to consider the following components of digital strategies to improve the efficiency of the business model of service enterprises.

A Social Design Approach: Enhancement of Local Social Dialogue on the Transformation of Work by Digital Technology

The world of work is undergoing major transformations (teleworking, new technologies, Industry 4.0, social reform in some countries) in which labour relations are likely to play a central role. In this context, our case study presents an alternative approach to local social dialogue: “Social Design.” The specific aim was to mobilize stakeholders to deal with the introduction of digital technology at a large industrial company in France. Within the theoretical and methodological framework of activity-centred ergonomics, we analyzed the process of co-design and the process of design “in use.” We conducted interviews, work activity observations and simulations of future working conditions. We identified “fruitful possibilities” (e.g., more extensive participation by stakeholders and collective discussions about the transformation of work) and “real-life resistance” (e.g., difficulties in finding common agreement). We report on the quality of local social dialogue and provide an epistemology of the action of social dialogue on the theme of the transformation of work. In sum, we describe an original initiative to transform local social dialogue in the context of a changing workplace.AbstractWe present the results of a research-action initiative to strengthen participation by social dialogue stakeholders (union representatives, managers and workers) in companies that are being digitally transformed. For this, we used activity-centred ergonomics. After presenting a co-design process, i.e., “Social Design,” we describe how the initiative was carried out in a large industrial company and how it was re-designed “in use.” We thus helped certain union representatives participate in dialogue on the topical issue of digital transformation, thereby helping define a new organizational structure in the workplace and further developing the “Social Design” approach.

A case study using metaverse according to marketing changes in fashion luxury brands

COVID-19 팬데믹으로 인한 ‘사회적 거리 두기’는 디지털 기술과 함께 우리 생활 전반의 변화를 초래하고 있다. 학생들은 온라인 수업에 참여하고 직장인은 재택근무를 하고 있으며, 기업은 디지털 트랜스포메이션 속도를 높이고 있다. 급변하는 디지털 환경 속, 메타버스는 예상보다 더욱 빠른 속도로 우리 일상에 자리 잡고 있다. 이러한 변화와 함께, 패션 명품 브랜드들도 메타버스를 활용하여 다양한 디지털 마케팅을 펼치고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 패션 명품 브랜드들의 디지털 기술 도입 전, 후의 마케팅 변화를 분석하고 다가올 미래 메타버스를 위한 디지털 마케팅 사례 연구이다. 연구 방법으로 문헌 및 선행 연구를 고찰하였으며 인터넷 보도자료 등을 검색하여 메타버스의 의미와 종류를 분석하였다. 분석 대상으로는 글로벌 패션 명품 브랜드 루이비통, 버버리, 구찌 세 브랜드로 한정하였다. 연구 결과, 패션 명품 브랜드들은 첫째, 메타버스 기반 애드버게임을 출시하여 브랜드를 인지시켰다. 게임을 하는 동안 자발적 참여로 광고라는 인식이 배제되며 브랜드와 친숙해진다. 둘째, 게임 캐릭터 의상과 아이템을 구매할 수 있게 하여 브랜드를 경험하게 하였으며 게임 속 의상을 현실에서도 출시하며 가상세계와 현실 세계를 연결하였다. 셋째, 메타버스 플랫폼 가상세계에서는 오프라인 제품을 디지털화하여 새로운 비즈니스 모델을 구축하였다. 이러한 연구 결과로 넥스트 인터넷 메타버스는 패션 명품 브랜드들의 새로운 패션 산업 영역으로의 확대로 해석되며 현실 세계와 같은 부가가치를 이룰 수 있기를 기대해 본다.The implementation of social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic has changed our lives along with digital technology. Students participate in online classes, office workers work from home, and companies are speeding up digital transformation. In the rapidly changing digital environment, ‘Metaverse’ is settling in our daily lives at a faster-than-expected rate. Along with these changes, fashion luxury brands are also conducting various digital marketing using Metaverse. The purpose of this study is to analyze marketing changes before and after the introduction of digital technology by fashion luxury brands and to study digital marketing cases for future metaverse. Literature and previous studies were reviewed as a research methods,, and the meaning and type of metaverse were analyzed by searching for Internet press releases. The analysis targets were limited to three global fashion luxury brands, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, and Gucci. As a result of the study, 1st, fashion luxury brands have recognized the brand by launching Metaverse-based advergames. Voluntary participation during the game excludes the perception of advertising and becomes familiar with the brand. 2nd, by allowing users to purchase game character costumes and items, they experienced the brand, by releasing costumes in the game in reality, the virtual world and the real world were connected. 3rd, a new business model was built by digitizing offline products in the virtual world of the metaverse platform. As a result of these studies, Next Internet Metaverse is interpreted as an expansion of fashion luxury brands into new fashion industries and is expected to achieve the same added value as the real world.

The Digital Way to Intercept Psoriatic Arthritis.

Psoriasis (PsO) and Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) are chronic, immune-mediated diseases that share common etiopathogenetic pathways. Up to 30% of PsO patient may later develop PsA. In nearly 75% of cases, skin psoriatic lesions precede arthritic symptoms, typically 10 years prior to the onset of joint symptoms, while PsO diagnosis occurring after the onset of arthritis is described only in 15% of cases. Therefore, skin involvement offers to the rheumatologist a unique opportunity to study PsA in a very early phase, having a cohort of psoriatic “risk patients” that may develop the disease and may benefit from preventive treatment. Progression from PsO to PsA is often characterized by non-specific musculoskeletal symptoms, subclinical synovio-entheseal inflammation, and occasionally asymptomatic digital swelling such as painless toe dactylitis, that frequently go unnoticed, leading to diagnostic delay. The early diagnosis of PsA is crucial for initiating a treatment prior the development of significant and permanent joint damage. With the ongoing development of pharmacological treatments, early interception of PsA has become a priority, but many obstacles have been reported in daily routine. The introduction of digital technology in rheumatology may fill the gap in the physician-patient relationship, allowing more targeted monitoring of PsO patients. Digital technology includes telemedicine, virtual visits, electronic health record, wearable technology, mobile health, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. Overall, this digital revolution could lead to earlier PsA diagnosis, improved follow-up and disease control as well as maximizing the referral capacity of rheumatic centers.

Tax and Technological Aspects of the Transition to Sustainable Energy

In today’s environment, the international community is facing a number of fundamental long-term problems, the solution of which is relevant for each country within the new paradigm of sustainable development. Key problems include the level of energy security of the national economy, increasing the energy efficiency of the national energy system, and increasing its environmental friendliness. The basis for the transition to sustainable energy is coordinated energy and tax policies. The latter should aim at establishing such rules and conditions for the national energy system that would make it more adaptable to new conditions and adoption of environmentally friendly green technologies.The article substantiates the need for a systematic approach to reforming the existing taxation in accordance with the principles of sustainable development. We study the basic principles of changing the domestic tax system in the direction of its greening, and, in particular, the use of the environmental tax as a tool for managing the impact on the energy system. We describe new properties of energy systems arising from the introduction of digital technology in the production and consumption of electricity and its impact on the level of adaptability of the energy system. Increasing the environmental friendliness and adaptability of the national energy system will facilitate the transition of the energy sector and economy to the path of sustainable development.

In public administration, the introduction of digital information technology is one of the priorities in the area of taxation development. Of particular importance is the transformation of the state system of tax management, as well as understanding the functional aspects of its development under Covid-19. Meanwhile, the current tendency in the part of reduction of economic activity by subjects of tax relations is conditioned by appearance of objective factors directly influencing the process of tax management, not only from the position of revenue part of state budget, but also development of systems of tax control. These aspects manifest themselves to a greater extent in the search for priority of fiscal component and underestimation of regulatory policy of state tax administration. In this regard, it is important to timely identify tax and levy arrears in the implementation of cameral tax measures. In addition, when implementing forms and methods of tax control at the modern level, both increasing the level of cybersecurity, protecting confidential data of taxpayers and the introduction of crowdsourcing elements through mobile information technologies are considered as potential solutions in the field of digital development of the domestic tax system. The study is based on the assessment of the forms and methods of tax control in the form of in-house tax audits as an opportunity to identify positive effects from the introduction of digital technologies by the Federal Tax Service of Russia in terms of tax audits in the form of DTA.

Digitalizing Community Health Work: A Struggle over the Values of Global Health Policy

The introduction of digital technology has sparked new debates about the value of community health workers in low-and-middle-income countries. This debate offers important insights into the conventions that are relevant in global public health. Community health workers, a workforce that was already celebrated during the 1970s Primary Health Care movement, are having a remarkable revival in recent years, and myriad actors seek to boost their impact through mobile devices. Our content analysis of the public health literature evaluating this impact reveals the centrality of attempts at reconciling equity and cost effectiveness concerns, and thus considerable normative tensions. Additionally, we find that discussions about “domestic” values such as privacy and gender roles come with a paternalistic undertone, calling for feminist and postcolonial engagement with the digitalization of community health work.

DEVELOPING THE INNOVATIVE POTENTIAL OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION OF ENTERPRISES OF THE FUEL AND ENERGY COMPLEX

The dynamic development of the introduction of digital technology in various industries requires searching and developing new methodological approaches to form innovative development programs of enterprises for their digital transformation. This article characterizes the main trends and problems in developing the digital transformation of fuel and energy complex enterprises, defining its worth and development vectors. The author highlights the features of implementing digital and information technology at industrial enterprises and describes the most popular information and digital technologies used in the fuel and energy complex enterprises. She provides the main obstacles to the implementation of digital transformation in the Russian Federation, including the use of domestic information products. Having defined the target benchmarks and indicators for the development of digital technologies in the industries of the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation, the author formulates the priority tasks for developing the innovative potential of IT in industrial enterprises. Determining the specifics of the methodological provisions for its evaluation has required defining the constituent elements of the innovative potential. A comparative characteristic of methodological tools for assessing the innovation potential and position of enterprises is provided with the description of the different necessary methods it requires. The author proposes the use of a comprehensive methodological approach to assessing the innovative potential of the digital transformation of the oil and gas enterprise. The system of evaluation indicators is presented following the recommended evaluation vectors: level of digitalization, level of development of the fuel and energy complex, and level of innovation. An assessment of the innovative potential of the digital transformation of the oil and gas enterprise is demonstrated and the main conclusions are formulated. The assessment resulted in developing a program of digital development of oil and gas enterprise with the allocation of the main innovative directions and targets for the implementation of activities. Further benchmarks of scientific research are defined and conclusions are formulated.

The introduction of digital technology, tools, industry 4.0 and trends of automation, digitalization, digitalization of modern aviation fuel aircraft HA become a basic tool of refueling complexes HECTARES in the security of aircraft, civil aviation, which is especially important in high intensity operations. The article presents a theoretical preliminary research of the issue before the following research from the theoretical level to the practical level of problem solving.

The ubiquitous introduction of digital technology leads to changes in state educational standards. This happens due to the society’s need for forming new level competencies as well as rethinking the roles of teachers and students, which leads to reorganization and modernization of educational space. The urgency of this research is conditioned by the forced appliance of distance learning caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which requires active inclusion of Information and Communication Technologies in all activities of the state and society. The article deals with implementing the state program of education digitalization, using innovative information technologies, distance learning among other things, within teaching foreign languages at universities. The authors consider learning management system Moodle applicable for classroom, self-, individual and additional students’ studies. The methodology of organizing and monitoring students’ knowledge with the help of ICT has been introduced and is currently being applied at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics (Kemerovo branch) for the subject of "Foreign language".
